  • Notre coup de cœur: Charley Rose Trio – Dada Pulp Tour

For this special collaboration, we are delighted to support a captivating evening of contemporary jazz at Ironwood Stage and Grill, a vibrant venue at the heart of Calgary’s live music scene. On Monday, June 22nd, 2026 at 8:00 PM, join us for an exceptional concert featuring the Charley Rose Trio, a bold and innovative ensemble pushing the boundaries of modern jazz.

Based between France and Switzerland, French saxophonist Charley Rose brings a unique sonic identity shaped by classical roots, jazz legends, and experimental soundscapes. With his trio—Enzo Carniel (piano & synths) and Ariel Tessier (drums)—he creates an immersive musical journey blending acoustic energy and electronic textures.

Their acclaimed album Dada Pulp (2023) and international tours across Europe have established the trio as one of the most exciting new voices in contemporary jazz, awarded Jazz Migration #7 in France. On stage, the trio delivers a free and spontaneous dialogue, where rhythm, improvisation, and emotion meet in a constantly evolving sound universe.

About the Artists

Enzo Carniel – Piano, synthesizers
Ariel Tessier – Drums

Charley Rose is a French saxophonist and composer whose musical identity is shaped by a wide spectrum of influences, from classical music to jazz and experimental sound design. Deeply inspired by artists such as John Coltrane and Lee Konitz, he has developed a signature approach to the saxophone that integrates electronics and improvisation. His work reflects a rich cultural background between Bordeaux, Paris, and Switzerland, resulting in a borderless and highly expressive sound.

The Charley Rose Trio brings together three musicians united by a shared vision of contemporary jazz. Pianist and synthesist Enzo Carniel adds harmonic depth and electronic textures, while drummer Ariel Tessier drives the trio with dynamic and expressive rhythms. Together, they explore a free-form musical language that constantly evolves on stage, offering audiences a powerful and immersive live experience.
