On Sunday, June 23rd at 10:15 a.m., join the AFC team for a bike
ride on the Bow Valley Parkway (Highway 1A).
The Bow Valley Parkway is the scenic road connecting Banff to Lake Louise in Banff National Park and during the month of June, it will be
closed to cars which offers bikers an incredible experience to enjoy the Rockies! With spectacular mountain scenery and excellent wildlife
spotting opportunities, the Bow Valley Parkway is a must-visit in Banff National Park.
Join us directly in Banff with your own bike or rent a bike in a bike shop in Banff (many options available, we use Snowtips-Bactrax).
Prior to the event, you will receive a mail with all the information about the activity.
The trip is 50 km way and back. Please be prepared as there are some steeper sections.
We will leave Banff at 10:30 a.m. and we should arrive at Johnston Canyon at 12:30 a.m. for a picnic for one hour. We will then return to
Banff at 1:30 p.m. for an estimated return at 3:30 p.m. These times are estimates only!
