Camps for Teens

Join us for an immersive and engaging experience. Improve your French skills and have fun with our tailored camp for teens aged 12-15. Develop fluency, ease, and confidence in conversational French through interactive activities and classes centered around different themes each session. All levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced.

Daily Schedule

At Alliance Française Calgary, our summer camps take place at our vibrant cSpace campus. Campers are welcomed each morning starting at 8:30 a.m., and pick-up is scheduled between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. If your schedule requires alternative arrangements, feel free to contact our team—early or late pick-up options may be available for an additional fee.

Each morning from Monday to Friday, certified French teachers lead engaging lessons designed to help students build their French. Our programs encourage interaction and communication in French, helping learners grow with confidence.

Afternoons are dedicated to a variety of fun, hands-on activities that reflect the weekly theme, ensuring campers enjoy a well-rounded and memorable experience.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all students, regardless of their level of French. Based on registration numbers, your child may be placed in a multi-level group for the morning sessions, which are limited to 12 students to maintain instructional quality. Afternoon activities are held with larger groups to promote social engagement and shared experiences.

Typical Day – Monday to Friday

8:30–9:00 a.m. – Drop-off
9:00–12:00 p.m. – French classes
12:00–1:00 p.m. – Lunch*
1:00–4:30 p.m. – Activities
4:30–5:00 p.m. – Pick-up

*Please pack a lunch for your child each day.

A Different Theme Each Week

World Cup

From July 13th to 17th

Get ready for a week where French and soccer-inspired fun come together! Through mini-matches, team challenges, and creative games, teens will practice French while cheering, strategizing, and collaborating with their teammates. Daily activities combine movement, problem-solving, and friendly competition, creating a high-energy camp where teens can improve their French, make new friends, and enjoy the excitement of the World Cup… all without needing to be soccer experts!

Back to the Future

From July 20th to 24th

Step into a time-travel adventure where French meets the vibrant world of the 80s and 90s! Teens will explore retro music, fashion, games, and pop culture while using French to complete challenges, tell stories, and collaborate with friends. Each day is filled with creative activities, problem-solving missions, and playful competitions that make French fun and dynamic. Travel through decades, imagine the future, and level up your French skills in a totally immersive, retro-inspired camp.

Visual Arts

From August 11^th to 15^th

An inspiring art-focused camp designed for teens who love to create and express themselves. Through guided projects, hands-on workshops, and group discussions in French, participants will explore painting, drawing, and mixed-media techniques while building their vocabulary and confidence in the language. Teens will have the chance to share ideas, give feedback, and collaborate creatively, all in a supportive and playful French environment.
