Book Club Selection

We are proud to house one of the largest French libraries in Western Canada, with over 8,500 items:

  • 900 DVDs with many great movies that are not available on popular platforms
  • 3,500 books for Kids & Teens, from baby books to YA literature
  • 3,500 books for Adults, from classics to contemporary literature
  • 500 resources in our learners' sections to help you study French 
  • 10 magazine subscriptions

We acquire new resources every month and members are invited to request what they would like to see available in our library! While the media library is free to access, you must register as a member for borrowing privileges and to enjoy additional services.

Library Policies

Borrowing Limits

 Individual members may borrow up to 3 children’s books, 3 adult books, 3 comics, 3 DVDs, and 3 magazines.

Family members may borrow up to 10 children’s books, 5 adult books, 5 comics, 5 DVDs, and 5 magazines.

Duration and Renewals

Standard loan period is 3 weeks. One renewal for an additional 3 weeks is available on request (subject to availability). To renew, contact the Librarian by phone or email.

Late Return Policy

Items must be returned by the due date during office hours. Items more than 10 days overdue accrue a fee of $0.25 per item per day. Accounts are suspended after 30 days overdue and reinstated once items are returned and fees are paid.

Damaged or Lost Items

Members are responsible for the replacement cost of damaged or lost items. At 60 days overdue, a replacement invoice is issued. Accounts, including student accounts, remain locked until charges are settled.
