Voluntary Waiver & Release of Liability for Ice-Skating Activity

This is a waiver and release of liability – you must read and fully understand this before signing.

I, THE NAMED PARTICIPANT, hereby acknowledge that I (or my child/children) voluntarily participate in the ice-skating activity organized by Alliance Française of Calgary. I understand that ice skating is a potentially hazardous activity that involves risks and dangers, including but not limited to falls, collisions, serious personal injury, or death, and I voluntarily assume those risks on behalf of myself and/or my child.

I represent and warrant that I and/or my child are in good physical condition and have no medical condition that would prevent safe participation in this activity. I agree to ensure that I and/or my child follow all rules and instructions provided by the organizers of the activity, and I understand that failure to do so may result in removal from the activity.

I voluntarily agree to accept and assume full responsibility and liability for any injuries, death, illness, or damage to myself, my child, or our property that may occur as a result of participating in this activity. I understand that Alliance Française of Calgary assumes no liability for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by myself, my child, or our property during the activity. I further understand that the risks associated with this activity may include those arising from the negligence or other fault of Alliance Française of Calgary and its employees or agents.

I acknowledge that my participation, and that of my child, in this activity is voluntary and that no one is forcing us to participate despite the risks.

I have read this waiver and release of liability and understand its terms. I understand that by signing this document, I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue or make a claim against Alliance Française of Calgary and its employees or agents in the event of any injury or loss. This Voluntary Waiver and Release of Liability shall be binding upon me, my child, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.
