Mamadou ly

Mamadou Ly is an autodidact photographer from Senegal. As a child, he learned to used silver processing cameras. It is by meeting other more experienced or peer artists that he learned photography. His inspiration comes from daily life and streets.

The last few years, he has been showing his work in collective exhibitions - the most famous of them being the contemporary African art biennale named Dak'Art, in 2010 and 2012. He also took part in the 2016 exhibition Regard sur la ville
