Enjoy a screening of Ma mère, Dieu et Sylvie Vartan (2025), directed by Ken Scott, which explores the love and devotion of a mother towards her son born with a clubfoot.

The movie, based on the true story of Roland Perez, shows a mother, Esther (Leïla Bekhti), who defies doctors and vows that her son will walk and live a remarkable life, dedicating herself across decades to making that promise a reality. Running through the story is the music of Sylvie Vartan — Roland's idol — who becomes a symbol of hope and escape. It's an emotional, often funny tribute to unconditional maternal love.

The screening will take place in the AFC library and is suitable for adults only. The film is in French with French subtitles.
