Experience / Explore / Enjoy

You are invited to travel into the fascinating and mysterious world that links art and literature!

Discover the exhibition "L'imaginaire de Gisèle Villeneuve Imagined" until september 30th in the 3rd level gallery at cSPACE. Seven visual artists transformed into images the words of writer Gisèle Villeneuve.

The art exhibit is based on the book Et tu seras happé par l’horizon (loosely translated into "And You Shall Be Snatched by the Horizon"), presents seven distinctive visions. Gisèle Villeneuve kept a journal while following the artists as they created their works.

The vernissage (opening) and artists' talk is FREE and it will take place on Thursday, September 15th at 6:00 p.m. Gisèle will share her discovery of each artist’s approach in the context of her writing. A cocktail will be offered and participants will be able to buy the book from Owl's Nest Books stand.

Read Chloé Liberge’s article on the book and the writer, published in Le Franco here. “I marvel at the beautiful, the shaggy, the absurd, the creative, the brilliant, the inventive, the playful, the cruel and, above all, at the undying conviction of narrowly avoiding the magnificent traps we keep perfecting!”
