Discover Francophone Literature!

On Wednesday, March 19th at 5:30 p.m. in the library of the Alliance Française, join us to talk about the book "La banalité d'un tir ", a novel from 2022, written by Mali Navia.

We are pleased to inform you that the author Mali Navia will be joining us via a virtual meeting.

Ana López, born to a Canadian mother and a Colombian father, grew up in Quebec between two cultures, torn between the North and the South. She struggles to reconcile her fractured identities, struggling to accept what makes her different in the eyes of others. Her father, Alejandro, never managed to adapt to Quebec. He stayed there for his two daughters, passing on to them, whether he intended to or not, the burden of his exile. Then, one day, he returns to Colombia. And disappears.

Please note that it is necessary to have read the book before the event.
Members can borrow the book from our library or purchase it from our partner Owl's nest.
The minimum level required is B2, but this event is also open to Francophones.
