Fête de la musique

Are you Ready to Celebrate the Universal Language of Music?

La Fête de la Musique, also known as Make Music Day, is an annual celebration of music that takes place on June 21st around the world. This year, join us for a special live music show featuring the talented Malika Tirolien at La Cité des Rocheuses.

Malika Tirolien is a Montreal-based musician, songwriter, and producer originally from Guadeloupe. She has been garnering international attention for her creative collaborations and remarkable vocal abilities. Her electrifying performance on "I'm not the one" has gained over 1.7 million views on YouTube and is a standout track on the Grammy-winning album "Family Dinner" by Snarky Puppy, inspiring countless covers worldwide.

In 2020, Malika's group Bokanté was nominated for a Grammy award for their second album "What Heat." The group, which Malika leads as the singer and co-writer, has toured in over 20 countries since their formation in 2016. The nomination was a culminating point for this international group and a testament to Malika's talents as a musician and performer.

Malika's second album "HIGHER," released in 2021, is a fusion of R&B, Soul, Jazz, and Hip Hop, defined as "Highsoul." Co-produced with three-time Grammy winner Michael League, this album is the second installment of a four-album series. Malika's soaring voice immediately grabs your attention, and her well-crafted compositions present effusive emotions through conscious and engaged lyrics.

About Malika Tirolien
