Soudain, Seuls, Isabelle Autissier
On Wednesday May 16th at 5:30PM, join us at @cSPACE for our monthly Book Club. This modern Robinson Crusoé story, published in 2015, was written by sailor Isabelle Autissier, first woman who accomplished a world tour in a competition in 1991.
Louise and Ludovic, a couple, decide to fulfill their dream: a world tour accomplished by boat. Between Cap Horn and Patagonia, they stop at an island, which serves as a natural reserve. Doomed to stay there because of a storm, they will need to survive on their own surrounded by penguins and sea lions, in a dream environment turned hostile.
Highly praised when it was released, this novel touches on many topics such as adventure and survival, love, isolation, and scars that never heal. Do not hesitate book your ticket for this moving voyage.
