Promoting events is an important part of our work in providing access to French language and culture. The Alliance Française works closely
with institutional and cultural partners regularly hosting events about francophone culture. We regularly offer tickets and hold contests
to win tickets to shows and presentations from the following institutions.
CEFF takes place in November, at the Globe Cinema, with 15 communities bringing the exquisite art of European cinema to Calgary.
Le Dîner en blanc
Thousands of people, dressed all in white, and conducting themselves with the greatest decorum, elegance, and etiquette, all meet for a mass “chic picnic” in a public space.
Alberta University for the Arts
Formerly known as ACAD, this is the only post-secondary institution devoted exclusively to art, craft, and design education in the province.
The AFC organizes Summer Camps with the AUA.
