Teens Preparation Late French Immersion

This course is for students entering Late French Immersion in September 2022. You will practice your French to be able to go back to school with more ease and confidence. 

Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)
Teens A1 - Beginner

Teens A1 Part 1

Teens classes

This class is for students who are complete beginners. In this class, we will cover basics, including but not limited to:

  • Discover French alphabet and numbers;
  • Learn to introduce oneself;
  • Talk about countries and nationalities;
  • Learn about important verbs (être, avoir, s'appeler...); 
  • Learn about the masculine and feminine forms.

Material used: A Plus 1, units 0 & 1.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)

Teens A1 Part 2

Teens classes

This class is for false beginners. In this class, students will learn some basics in French, including but not limited to:

  • Ask for and give information; 
  • Express likes and dislikes; 
  • Talk about school subjects; 
  • The use of the negation; 
  • The verb faire.

Material used: A Plus 1, unit 2.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)

Teens A1 Part 3

Teens classes

This class is for false beginners. In this class, students will learn some basics in French, including but not limited to:

  • Describe one's personality and one's appearance; 
  • Talk about clothes and fashion; 
  • The use of adjectives;
  • Introduce family members; 
  • Talk about hobbies. 

Material used: A Plus 1, unit 3.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)

Teens A1 Part 5

Teens classes

In this class, students will continue practicing the important basics of French, including but not limited to:

  • Talk about daily routine; 
  • Use of the verb devoir
  • Use the futur proche tense; 
  • Discover the reflexive verbs.

Material used: A Plus 1, unit 5.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)
Teens A2 - Elementary

Teens A2.1 Part 3

Teens classes

In this class, students will continue learning basics in French, including but not limited to:

  • Tell a story in the past;  
  • Talk about the future and one's projects; 
  • Use of the past tenses; 
  • Use of the passé récent and the présent continu
  • Use of the futur simple tense.

Material used: A Plus 2, units 5 & 6.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)

Teens A2.2 Part 3

Teens classes

In this class, students will continue develop their skills and learn new structures, including but not limited to:

  • Talk about civic engagement; 
  • Talk about cultural references; 
  • Use of the subjonctif présent
  • Use of the voix passive.

Material used: A Plus 3, units 5 & 6.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)
Teens B1 - Intermediate

Teens B1 Part 2

Teens classes

In this class, students will develop their language skills, including but not limited to:

  • Talk about songwriting; 
  • Use of the adverbs; 
  • The familiar language;
  • Use of the pronouns y and en.

Material used: A Plus 4, unit 2.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)

Teens B1 Part 3

Teens classes

In this class, students will develop their language skills, including but not limited to:

  • Talk about family history; 
  • Evoke memories; 
  • Use of the conditionnel présent
  • The complex relative pronouns.

Material used: A Plus 4, unit 3.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)

Teens B1 Part 5

Teens classes

In this class, students will develop their language skills, including but not limited to:

  • Talk about love and friendship; 
  • Talk about humanitarian causes; 
  • Use of the subjonctif
  • How to motivate others. 

Material used: A Plus 4, units 5 & 6.

Teens B2 - Advanced

Conversation Actu' - Teens B2

Teens classes

Join our conversation class for Teens. Every week you will discuss current news in a fun and interactive way (themes are suitable for teenagers). This course will help you improve your vocabulary and your communication skills. It is also a good preparation for the oral part of the DELF exam.

The material is prepared by the teacher and provided at the beginning of the class.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)

Teens B2 Part 1

Teens classes

In this class, students will develop their language skills, including but not limited to:

  • Talk about cities;  
  • Use of temporal expressions; 
  • How to express alternatives; 
  • How to emphasize.

Material used: A Plus 5, unit 1.


Pace: 18 hours or 15 hours for small groups (5 students or less)

With a regular group (6 students or more), there will be 12 classes (18 hours). With a small group (4 or 5 students), there will be 10 classes (15 hours) and the last 2 classes will be cancelled. The course will not open if less than 4 students register.
