 PRIVATE TUITION PROCEDURES

Lessons in French are available for adults, adolescents and children.

Preparation for business or leisure trips to France and other francophone countries

Preparation for exams

Students are required to take a written and oral placement test . A program of studies is decided according to level, interests, goals, and future projects.

Payment must be made in full at the time of registration. Private courses tuition is not refundable. Private hours are payable in blocks of 10 hours.

An extra fee will be applied for transportation and parking for teachers.

Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel a lesson, please contact the AFCalgary 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for the lesson.

1 person $ 55.00
2 people $ 70.00

TRANSPORT AND PARKING CHARGES FOR OFF-SITE CLASSES

Downtown commercial core, Beltline, Downtown East Village: $15 per hour
Greater Calgary area: starting at $20 per hour

ADDITIONAL FEES

Membership Fee (compulsory): $25, payable once a year
Book and Exercise Book (if applicable): $ 45 per student

DISCOUNTS

20 to 49 hours: -10%
50 hours +: -20%

CONDITIONS

  • Courses must be purchased in packages of a minimum of 10 hours
  • Cancellations must be made to the administration of the Alliance Française one full business day in advance
  • Please note:the validity of courses purchased is limited:

10 hours

 

Valid for 3 months

 

11 to 20 hours

 

Valid for 6 months

 

21 hours +

 

valid for one year

 

 

  • No credit notes and No refund
  • Students are requested to pay the full tuition and book fees (where applicable) prior to the start of the session. There is no GST applied to course fees.
  • Classes are not pro-rated.
  • Payments may be made by personal cheque or using Interac, Visa or MasterCard.
  • A $25 surcharge will be levied on all N.S.F. cheques.
  • When a student’s employer is paying course fees, a purchase order is required. If, three weeks after being invoiced, an employer fails to pay the cost of a student’s tuition fees and course material, the student shall agree to pay for such costs within one week’s notice from the AFC.
    Students may not transfer paid private classes to a collective class.
