The Canadian novelist will speak on the blending of fact and fiction in his award-winning novel The Book of Negroes followed by a brief reading from his novel with his Quebec translator Carole Noël.

Susan Ouriou - Banff Summer Arts Festival

Governor General award-winning translator Susan Ouriou (Alliance francaise member) will read from her translation Pieces of Me and speak on the Banff experience. The reading will be followed by the launch of The Banff Press's just-released anthology Beyond Words - Translating the World with contributors Anne Malena from Edmonton, Hélène Rioux from Montreal and Katherine Silver from San Francisco.
